Explore Words with George the Poet

Join George the Poet for a thought-provoking 30-minute Live Lesson at Willesden Green Library where he transforms words into art.

This interactive session helps children unlock their creativity, experiment with language, and build confidence in self-expression through spoken word.

What to expect:

  • Listen to George’s poem about his love of getting lost in the library
  • Go on a treasure hunt collecting a special collection of words
  • Write and perform a spoken-word poem about a special place with George

How to take part

We’d love for you to join our live lesson on Wednesday 18 June to take part in a nationwide celebration of the arts. However, we understand the need for flexibility, so the lesson will be uploaded to this page early on Monday 9 June, and will remain on the site so you can run it at a time that works best for you.
