“The camera makes you forget you’re there. It’s not like you are hiding but you forget, you are just looking so much.”

Annie Leibovitz

Images for everyone

Photos and films have the ability to transport us to places we've only dreamed of… where will our Images module take you?

This year, Access All Arts are working in partnership with The Photography Movement and Into Film to explore the creative and cathartic power of the camera. With the help of master photographers and filmmakers, children will discover how they can use their device to create magic.

We know there’s strength in numbers. So, Access All Arts is joining The Photography Movement. Together, we want to inspire all primary pupils to use the power of photography to show and tell us about their lives.

Whether you have classroom devices or not, join us on the Photography pathway to develop skills, observe the world and contribute to a nationwide snapshot that celebrates the creative vision of children today.

Access All Arts is partnering with Into Film. Building on their incredible work in schools, we want to help even more primary teacher take their first steps from studying films into making films, with our Film pathway.

Together, we'll make sure everyone can benefit from the transformative power of film. Whether you're a nervous novice or a fearless filmmaker, we have the right screenplay for you.

Luke Franks

Gina Soden

Fine Artist and Photographer Gina Soden challenges children to look beyond the surface and find beauty in unexpected places as our Photography Artform Icon for our IMAGES module. Gina travels the world to photograph abandoned buildings that challenge our ideas of beauty, decay, nostalgia and neglect.

Teacher Testimonial

"For children to immerse themselves in this media is wonderful at this age; and in doing something which is different, relaxing, gentle and individual compared to other areas of school – win win for me! There has been a real sense of calm and reflective production when the children have been at work."

Robin Warren – Head Teacher, Primrose Hill Primary School and participant in The Photography Movement's Show and Tell project.

The Benefits

Film and photography provide sanctuary, escape and an outlet for self-expression. Whether it’s through still images or moving ones, our Images module will help you open apertures, pull focus and see the world through the wonderful lens of a child.
